Doug is a tenured resident of Ocean Springs, running for ward 3 in this year’s election. Having a journalism background gives Doug the advantage of being a fact-seeking advocate for truth. Doug is well informed, despite not being on the board of alderman, years prior. Doug has a genuine sense of care for the greater good and prosperity of his hometown. We hit on the key topics of this year’s elections. We talk about the downsides of executive sessions—the private meetings of city issues without the public. We discuss preserving the trees and arts. Mostly, we discuss the value of growth—responsible growth.
