Episode 08 Zak Ducote

I’m a typical guy. I enjoy food. I enjoy beer from time to time. They’re sustenance for me and my well being. Like anything else, food and beer can be the subject of hobbies which leads to a deep understanding of each—when pursued properly. Insert Zak Ducote. Zak is a man of passion. I’ve known him for years, and his passions transcend virtually any subject he is interested in. His energy must be from a biological fusion reactor, with his endless reserve of energy and an electric personality. In sports he had a fire fueling himself in ways I found unparalleled. Sure people were fired up as athletes, but Zak had a way to channel an innate sense of tenacity when he played. I remember it vividly. In his adult years he found himself deciding to take his passion for beer and alcohol to a deeper understand of the science and spirit, of spirits. He has been working in the Alcohol industry for a decade of more. Additionally, in his spare time he even built a respectable following on Instagram via his Beerploration page, where he reviewed and rated beers. He’s also let that passion take him to food. His Instagram page, ZakEats, is full of delicious food he makes using various cooking devices and techniques.

I can tell you from first-hand experience, Zak comes from a beautiful, colorful family. I know most of them on the coast and his brother is just as lively. On this episode we cover all of the aforementioned passions of Zak. We spend some time talking about his grandfather, too. His grandfather, at one time, was the most decorated veteran in the state of Mississippi. He even has a book written about his experiences in Vietnam. I had a blast doing this podcast. I know you are all going to enjoy it as well. Everyone, please welcome Zak Ducote!
